Around 2 AM on Sunday, police say the victim was dropped off at Presbyterian Hospital with an apparent gunshot wound.

APD did not say whether the teen was already dead before arriving at the hospital or they died from his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Detectives responded to start an investigation, which is now on-going.

This is the fourth homicide investigation in a little over 2 days.

Around 2:40 PM on Friday, September 4, a man was shot and killed in downtown Albuquerque near 2nd and Marquette. The suspect also fled the scene. On Saturday, an attentive bus driver spotted Maestas and called police. APD arrested Juan Maestas for this fatal shooting and his role in other shootings across the metro.

On September 5 around 7:30 AM, APD homicide investigators were called out to The Loop @ 950 Apartments. Upon arrival, they located an elderly male victim with apparent stab wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
