Albuquerque –
Just before 10 PM on Thursday, September 3, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department were dispatched to the area near the Chase Bank at 111 Coors Blvd. NW in response to a shooting.
Upon arrival, APD officers located a male who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Police and emergency crews rendered medical aid at the scene, and the victim was transported to a local hospital in grave condition.
The victim was pronounced dead after arriving at UNMH.
It remains unclear what caused or precipitated the shooting.
According to at least one witness, the suspects fled the scene in a Ford pickup.
APD’s homicide detectives and crime scene investigators will be called out to investigate.
