Albuquerque – Early this morning, and we mean EXTREMELY EARLY we drug ourselves to Balloon Fiesta Park to see the special shapes. Fiesta goers enjoyed a fascinating drone show at around 5:45am and then just after 6AM, we got word that it was a green flag day for launch(meaning they would launch).
Sadly, immediately after the green flag was raised the wind picked up and it grounded most of the special shapes. Some pilots did do a static display, meaning they inflated to show off their balloon but they did NOT launch into the air.
Regular balloons did launch into the Albuquerque sky to give Balloon Fiesta goers an aerial show.
