Joseph Gonzales, brother of Fabian Gonzales, was arrested and charged with first degree murder in the road rage shooting. Gonzales called 911 immediately after he shot the victim. He told 911 that the person he shot was speeding on his street and words were exchanged before the deadly shooting.
We obtained 911 phone calls from the incident and one of the callers was Joseph Gonzales himself. He tells the dispatcher, “Shots have been fired and there is a man down. I think he is dead.”

Gonzales stays on the phone with the 911 operator for over 2 minutes and forty seconds. He tells the 911 operator he felt his life was in danger. He goes on to tell the 911 operator:
“And, uh. and threatened in my life. Went back to his truck. So I gave him a warning shot on the ground.”
Around the same time an emotional husband and wife called separately to report the shooting and they said Gonzales is standing in the street.
A caller states “The guy that shot him is Joseph. It is on my cameras. We have had problems with this guy across the street a few times. He killed him,” said the neighbor. The dispatcher asked if she saw the shooting and she said yes.
