Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Fire Department is reportedly battling a residential structure fire off Atrisco Dr NW and Herrera Rd NW.
Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and Transit Security are blocking northbound Atrisco Dr at Central, Atrisco going southbound at 47th, and 47th going north at Central may also be blocked. AFR was clearing some fire resources from this fire, so road closures are subject to change.
Due to fire-related damage to the structure, AFR requested utility companies to respond. New Mexico Gas reportedly arrived just before 8 PM.
It is unknown if there are any injuries as a result of this fire.
IF AFR releases more information, we will post updates below.
UPDATE 1:
Around 8:30 PM, AFR advised APD they could reopen lanes of traffic.
UPDATE 2:
On January 13th, at approximately 7:15 PM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to 507 Atrisco Dr NE for reports of a possible structure fire at a single-family single story dwelling.
AFR battalion 5  and ladder 7 arrived on scene and reported a working fire with black smoke coming from the front of the building.  The fire was brought under control within 22 minutes of their arrival.
Damage to the structure was significant though out the building. One civilian was treated on scene.
AFR is coordinating relief efforts for 2 individuals with the Red Cross. Â
The cause was determined to be accidental. No additional information available at this time.
