AFR Battling Blaze on ABQ’s Westside

Albuquerque –

At 5:35 PM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire on the westside of Albuquerque. AFR was sent to the 5200 block La Colonia Dr. NW. The structure on fire is a townhome.

Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed the building was on fire. At least seven units from AFR are currently on the scene battling the flames. As of now, they have searched the building and have not found anyone inside.

AFR has requested that PNM and NM Gas Company shut off utilities to the townhome.
