Albuquerque, NM – On Thursday, April 13, 2023, at approximately 9:25PM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 500 block of Kentucky St SE, for reports of a structure fire at a multi-family dwelling.
AFR says that the fire was brought under control within 5 minutes after their arrival. Firefighters did locate one unconscious civilian inside, they were removed from the residence. After being removed from the residence, AFR learned that the unconscious victim was in cardiac arrest and life saving measures were performed. Unfortunately, the efforts to revive the victim were not successful and the unnamed person died on scene.
In total, AFR reports that 15 units with 38 firefighters responded to this fire. According to AFR, the cause of this fire is currently under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
