Albuquerque –
On January 25, 2025, at approximately 4:22 PM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) responded to reports of a structure fire at 13320 Camino del Norte NE. The closest major streets are Tramway and Copper. The incident involved a single-family, single-story residence that had recently been vacated, but reports indicated the property had hoarding type conditions.
Upon arrival, Engine 12 confirmed a working fire with heavy smoke visible from all sides. Crews deployed an 1¾-inch attack line to the front or primary entrance side (alpha side) and initiated an aggressive fire attack. AFR’s Ladder 9 was requested to ventilate the roof. The fire was knocked down and brought under control within 22 minutes of arrival.
The structure sustained significant fire damage to one bedroom and extensive smoke damage throughout. No injuries were reported.
AFR Fire Investigators are currently on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Updates will be provided as information becomes available.
