Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department in the Northeast Area Command are at Del Norte High School investigating a possible threat directed at the school.

APD Officers and APS School Resource Officers have reportedly set up a perimeter around the school to protect the students and faculty.

APS sent out a tweet on X, formerly known at Twitter, notifying people of the shelter-in-place. According to APS, nex+Gen is also in a shelter in place as a precaution.

If we learn more about this, we will update you.

Update:

As of 11:46AM, the shelter-in-place was lifted.
