Albuquerque –

Today, February 4, at around 12:30PM, officers in the Northeast area command observed a man who had an active warrant. Police watched the man enter a vehicle with two other people. When the wanted man saw police he fled the area in his car near Paseo Del Norte and Wyoming Blvd.

The driver became a mad man driver and crashed into an innocent vehicle while fleeing police near Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte. The group in the car continued to flee southbound on Wyoming and turned into the Keystone Park neighborhood. APD found the car crashed out on Keystone and they realized the three individuals fled the scene on foot.

The wanted driver was seen going into a residents home on the 7500 block of Keystone Dr. NE. A panicked homeowner called 911 saying the wanted man was currently in her house after breaking in uninvited. APD quickly surrounded the house and set up a large perimeter so there would be no escape for him. Police were eventually able to safely remove the woman from her house and relocated her to a safe location.

The felony suspect refused to come out of the newly acquired house and APD’s SWAT unit was dispatched to the scene to remove him. The SWAT team formulated a plan, and after several demands for the suspect to exit they entered the home to arrest the suspect. After a few tense moments, the suspect was led out of the house in handcuffs.

A neighbor that saw the arrest go down down the street had some choice words for the captured cretin as police led him to a police unit. We could hear the neighbor calling him an “asshole” and warning him to never come back to his neighborhood. Police were able to calm down the neighbor and he told our reporter on scene he appreciated our coverage of the incident.

The suspect already had an active federal drug related warrant and will now be facing numerous new felony charges ranging from aggravated fleeing law enforcement, felony breaking and entering, burglary, and leaving the scene of an accident.

    1. Except they didn’t bother to cover it online. Or channel 7 who has a film crew onsite. Our neighborhood was complete chaos. Thanks ABQ Raw for covering this or else we wouldn’t have known what was going on when the Feds descended, the sniper was climbing the neighbors roof, and the flash bang went off!
