Albuquerque –
Homicide detectives from the Albuquerque Police Department are investigating the death of an adult male who was discovered this morning around 8:30 AM in the area of 4540 Carlisle Blvd. NE, which is north of Montgomery Blvd.
Details are extremely limited at this point, but investigators determined the scene was suspicious and homicide detectives were called out to start an investigation.
This area near the apartment complex is known for having several encampments of unhoused individuals. If the deceased is homeless, or if APD detectives cannot determine the cause of death based on evidence at the scene, the Office of the Medical Investigator may need to use toxicology reports and medical tests to establish the cause of death.
If this is deemed to be a homicide, it would be the 130th homicide in the Albuquerque Metro area for 2024.
UPDATE:
We have since learned that this was deemed a homicide by the Albuquerque Police Department. They have not released any further information.
Looks like we may have hit the Big One-Three-O.
Translation for the un-politically correct. “Unhoused” is the touchy-feely term the snowflakes use for homeless. Or as I like to call them, “Outdoorsmen”.
