Albuquerque –
There is presently police activity in the area of Betts St NE and Lomas Blvd NE. The Albuquerque Police Department is looking for a suspect that fled from police earlier in the afternoon.
APD established a perimeter so hopefully the person could not escape. APD has been utilizing various methods to search for the suspect, but presently has not located him.
Roads might be blocked at Lomas and Betts St NE, Carol St and Lomas, and Betts Pl NE through Betts St NE and Carol St NE.
If we learn more about this incident or when the individual is taken into custody, we will update you.
UPDATE:
Just before 4:40 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police department arrested the outstanding suspect in the vicinity of Betts Pl and Betts St NE. It is believed that the alleged offender fled from law enforcement in a stolen vehicle, subsequently attempting to flee on foot and conceal themselves in a backyard.
APD tried to use audible announcements and a drone to located the suspect.
We will provide an update once we have more information regarding the individual who was booked into MDC.

He was arrested and charged with: Aggravated Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer, Leaving the scene of an accident (no great bodily harm or death), Leaving the scene of an accident (no great bodily harm or death), Reckless driving, Driving While License Revoked -DWI Related, and Possession of a controlled substance (felony), Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer (Arrest)
