Albuquerque – Around 6PM, on Saturday, April 1, 2023, APD sent out a media alert advising that APD’s Homicide Unit was called out to investigate a shooting that occurred at 2901 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Based on the address given by APD, this homicide appears to have occurred at or near the Carlisle Plaza Mobile Home Park.
Reportedly, when officers arrived on scene, one individual was located deceased with at least one gunshot wound. According to APD, officers detained another individual.
At this time, APD has not provided any additional details about what happened. As this time, this is an ongoing investigation, so it is unknown if the detained individual will face any criminal charges.
This is the 29th homicide for the Albuquerque Metro area in 2023. There was also a homicide yesterday, March 31, 2023.
