At around 5:25 PM, the Albuquerque Police Department received a dispatch for a serious injury crash at Central and Yale.
AFR transported the person injured in the crash to UNMH. At the time, APD was looking for a vehicle in connection with this crash, purportedly it fled the scene.
At the time of the crash, authorities closed eastbound Central from Buena Vista and also closed Yale Blvd SE as it approaches Central. Furthermore, the crash also closed east and westbound Central at Cornell.
APD later apprehended an individual who briefly hid in a nearby business; we’re unsure if the calls are connected. We will contact APD to inquire about the condition of the crash victim or any additional details they can provide, but despite our emails, we never receive a response from APD.
