APD Investigating Stabbing in SW Albuquerque; One Hospitalized

Albuquerque –

Just before 10:35 PM, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department, along with crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue’s Engine 14 and Rescue 14, responded to a stabbing at an apartment complex at 8200 Bridge Blvd SW.

Upon arrival, officers found one person suffering from abdominal injuries consistent with a stabbing and immediately rendered aid until AFR personnel arrived. The individual who was stabbed was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. The extent of the individual’s injuries has not been released.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene before police arrived but was later located and detained for questioning.
