APD officer talks with parents about their students and the scene in front of Del Norte High School
NE Albuquerque –
Around noon, a New Mexico State Police officer was approached by Del Norte High School students at Chick-FIl-A at San Mateo and Montgomery in regards to an active shooter at the school. The officer dispatched the information and it started a multi-agency response to Del Norte High School. The school was put on lock-down as officers arrived.
Witnesses told police that 4 to 6 shots were fired outside near the school and a possible offender vehicle described as a white Nissan sedan with dark window tint fled west bound on Montgomery.
