APD on Scene for Barricaded Suspect in Car Near East Mountains

Albuquerque –

There is police activity on NM 333 near Filiberto Ln SE. Reportedly, the Albuquerque Police Department is attempting to negotiate with a barricaded subject who is in their vehicle.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media that east and westbound lanes are closed temporarily. BCSO deputies and the New Mexico National Guard are purportedly blocking lanes of traffic while this situation is ongoing.

This is the second barricaded suspect in vehicle that APD has dealt with today.
