Albuquerque –
At around 5:20 PM, the Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched to a multi-vehicle crash at I-40 and Tramway Blvd NE. Dispatch information indicated that one person may have been pinned in the accident. When AFR arrived on the scene, they reported to the police that one vehicle was flipped on its roof.
One patient was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital in serious condition*. Three others were also injured.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area. Southbound Tramway at the I-40 on ramp is closed.

*UPDATE:
One of the persons transported was categorized in red status, this is a situation where a patient’s life is in immediate danger and requires immediate intervention and transportation to a hospital.
As of 6:15 PM, a flat bed arrived to removed the overturned vehicle.
