If you had planned on going to the balloon fiesta this morning it’s a hopeless cause. The parking lots are all full. The Albuquerque Police Department’s PIO Gilbert Gallegos sent out a media alert saying “APD’s Traffic Unit will be turning incoming traffic away from the Balloon Fiesta because parking is at capacity. If drivers are not already at the field, they are urged to avoid the area.”
