Albuquerque –

Just before 10:45 PM on May 12, a person went into the Circle K located at 6300 Central Ave SE with multiple wounds. A bystander reportedly called 911. The caller relayed to 911 that the woman claimed to have been stabbed in the back, face, and in an extremity.

Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and medics from Albuquerque Fire and Rescue were sent to this listed location. When they arrived, medical personnel from AFR’s Rescue 5 provided medical aid, and purportedly applied a tourniquet. Medics transported the individual to the University of New Mexico Hospital. The woman is undergoing further medical testing and treatment at UNMH. Medical personnel believe their wounds are not life-threatening.

APD located the initial scene at a nearby business. APD was reportedly looking for the offender. As of this publication, it does not appear that this incident will be classified as a serious crimes call-out, given that her injuries are not life-threatening.

We will update you as we learn more about the victim or if we learn more details about the offender.
