Albuquerque –

Around 11:35AM on Sunday, April 30, 2023, we received a tip from an eyewitness that there appeared to be a serious motor vehicle crash at Coors and Paseo del Norte. The eyewitness reported that the entire area was flagged off by police.

Around 1:30PM, two hours after our eyewitness reached out, we received confirmation from the Albuquerque Police Department that there was indeed a serious injury crash at Coors and Paseo. Based on Albuquerque Fire Rescue’s dispatch logs from the app PulsePoint, the crash actually occurred at 10:50AM.

According to APD, one individual was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The individual has not been identified at this time.

While on scene we observed a pick up truck from the construction company Bradbury Stamm and a Lexus sedan. The truck was facing northbound on Coors Blvd and the Lexus was in the median of the on ramp from Paseo Del Norte to Coors Blvd south. Both vehicles had heavy damage and air bags were deployed in both.

APD’s Motors Officers are working to determine the cause of the crash. APD reports that at this time, it appears alcohol may have been a contributing factor.

We will continue to update this post if and when more information becomes available.
