NE Albuquerque, NM – On Friday night, at approximately 10:20 PM, the Albuquerque Police Department dispatched Officers to a possible shooting near the 100 block of Altez St. NE, which is near Central Ave and Moon St.
When Officers arrived on scene, they discovered an individual who appeared to have a gunshot wound. The individual died prior to APD Officers arriving on scene.
APD’s Homicide Unit have taken over the investigation.
This is the 40th homicide for the Albuquerque Metro Area for 2023.
This is also the second confirmed homicide investigation in the last 24 hours. On Friday morning, at approximately 3AM, APD announced they were working a homicide investigation at the the Luxury Apartments at 2500 Carlisle Blvd. An offender was arrested on Friday night around 7PM for that homicide.
