Albuquerque –
Around 9:00AM, the Albuquerque Police Department responded to southwest Albuquerque for a stolen vehicle. Officers went from 98th and Avalon and ended up near 98th and I-40, when the armed man barricaded himself near a tunnel. A female accomplice was also with the male. The suspect stole two vehicles and drove the second off road near the I-40 eastbound on ramp.

APD’s SWAT team was called out around 9:35 AM and it escalated into an officer-involved shooting (OIS). The car thief who was shot has died. The female has surrendered to police.
All officers are okay.
We are currently on the scene gathering more information.

This creep has stolen his last car. I wish some enterprising reporter would write a story on his criminal history. How many times was he arrested. Tried? Convicted , jailed or released?
Which judge gave him his last light sentence? He was on probation for what?
