APD SWAT Responds to North Valley Standoff With Wanted Man

Albuquerque –

The Albuquerque Police Department’s SWAT team has taken over efforts to arrest a man with felony warrants who has barricaded himself inside a North Valley home.

Around 11:30 AM, officers responded to the residence in the 1300 block of San Lorenzo Ave. NW to serve the warrants. Officers have made several attempts to contact the man, but he remained barricaded inside the home’s garage.

APD SWAT officers have taken over the scene, and will attempt to negotiate with the suspect.
