A suspect is led to an APD police unit after SWAT was able to take him into custody near 3900 Lafayette Drive NE.

The Albuquerque Police Department are on the scene of a SWAT call at the 3900 block of Lafayette Drive NE. Albuquerque Fire Rescue is investigating a potential fire call at the same SWAT call. We could see a large presence of fire trucks staging near the apartment complex.

People were advised to avoid the area and it was a large perimeter as SWAT units got the suspect into custody. It is unclear how much damage was caused to the apartment complex and if anyone will be displaced. We will update the story when we get booking information on the subject.
