Albuquerque –

There is currently police activity in the 7500 block of Keystone Dr. NE, which is located near Wyoming and San Francisco Rd NE.

The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) and United States Marshals Service (USMS) are reportedly looking for a wanted suspect that’s barricaded inside of a home.

Residents in the area are advised to shelter in place. Dennis Chavez Elementary school has also been notified of the police activity.

Our reporters are currently on-site to gather further information.

UPDATE @1:42 PM:

At approximately 1:35 PM, the suspect was taken into custody by the Albuquerque Police Department.

For parents picking up their kids at Dennis Chavez Elementary, at the time of this update, San Francisco is still closed. However, officers from APD are working to get the street back open before school lets out.

  1. Jeez, why don’t you get the f— out of the way of law enforcement? I’m sure your sensationalistic non-journalism feeds your need for attention, but there are real professionals trying to do their very dangerous jobs without a so-called reporter on the scene.

  2. The barricaded suspect in NE Albuquerque has been taken into custody by the Albuquerque Police Department. Authorities had previously advised residents to shelter in place, and road closures near Dennis Chavez Elementary were in effect. The situation has been resolved, and efforts are underway to reopen San Francisco Rd. before school lets out.
