Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Police Department has released its 12th episode of the Duke City Case Files, delving into the disappearance of Anastasia Ferriera.
The video series, originally created to solicit tips in unsolved homicides, features Anastasia’s case. Ferriera’s disappearance marks the first time a missing person has been featured in the series, in honor of National Missing Persons Day. An Opinion Piece was published on ABQRAW about Anastasia’s disappearance on August 8, 2024, you can read it here.
Anastasia was reported missing by her family in March of 2023. At the time of her disappearance, Anastasia was 19. In December 2024, her family celebrated her 21st birthday without her, marking the second birthday in a row without knowing where she is.
Authorities report Anastasia’s last known whereabouts were in the vicinity of God’s Warehouse, situated at 8011 Central Ave NE. The last text message she sent to her mother said “I love you.” Anastasia has been completely silent since then, and there hasn’t been a single post or update on her social media accounts.
“She loves animals, she loves to draw, she loves spending time with us, going out to eat… getting ready, she loved getting ready and putting on makeup,” said Natalie Padilla, Anastasia’s mom. “It’s a nightmare. Every day, I wake up, I literally want to die. She’s my only child and she’s my everything, I can’t be without her.”
Investigators have diligently pursued numerous leads over the past two years, but they urgently require the public’s assistance if anyone possesses information about Anastasia’s whereabouts.
“If anyone knows anything, even if you think the tip is not important, it could be important to our case,” said Deputy Commander Andrew Jaramillo. “We do have a lot of stuff that we have to put together to get all the pieces to fit together, but that tip might be the reason that we solve this case.”
The new episode, released on February 3, can be viewed below.
