BCSO Finds Body in Pajarito Mesa, Ruled as a Homicide

According to a social media post by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s office, on June 8th, 2022, at approximately 8:00 am Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Pajarito Mesa in reference to a deceased male. BCSO Homicide and Crime Scene Detectives were on scene. The identity of the male is unknown at this time. It is currently being investigated as a homicide. The scene is no longer active, but the investigation is still ongoing.

We learned the call came in from the Valencia County Sheriff’s office of a citizen that found a deceased male in the mesa. Valencia County Sheriff’s office called BCSO dispatch with the information and GPS coordinates. They told BCSO two bullet casings were next to the body with a vehicle nearby.

This is Albuquerque’s 65th homicide of 2022.
