STATEWIDE OPERATION TARGETING FENTANYL TRAFFICKING YIELDS MORE THAN 300 ARRESTS AND SIGNIFICANT FENTANYL AND GUN SEIZURES

A press conference held at the Law Enforcement headquarters of BCSO and APD introduced a Multi-Agency Effort which brought together Law Enforcement from throughout NM.

A press conference representing more than 20 agencies from throughout NM were in Albuquerque talking about the fentanyl epidemic

Law Enforcement Officials representing more than 20 agencies from regions throughout New Mexico were in Albuquerque to announce the results of a 90-day statewide law enforcement operation that resulted in the seizure of thousands of fentanyl pills and nearly 100 firearms.

The effort, “OPERATION BLUE CRUSH” was organized and led by New Mexico High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), a national initiative which is made up of police organizations from state, local, tribal and federal levels. Sheriff’s and Chiefs of Police and federal law enforcement agency heads from throughout New Mexico attended the announcement.
