BCSO Investigates Reports of Heavily Armed Man in Ventana Ranch

Albuquerque –

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of a heavily armed male walking in the area of Ventana Ranch in Northwest Albuquerque.

According to information provided by BCSO, the subject is described as a white male in his late 30s to early 40s, wearing all black clothing. He has been observed wearing a ballistic vest and carrying a rifle slung across his body, a handgun on his hip, and a large knife.

The subject has reportedly been walking through the area and attempting to tamper with several residential security cameras.

At this time, there are no reports of the armed subject pointing the rifle at anyone.

Deputies are actively investigating the reports and working to locate the subject.

Residents in the area are asked by BCSO not to approach or engage with the individual. Instead, if you see a person matching this description, move to a safe location and call 911 immediately.
