BCSO Investigates three separate Homicides in the ABQ Metro

BCSO Homicide Detectives Investigate Three Homicides since July 17th

Albuquerque, NM – On Sunday, July 17th, at approximately 10:30 pm, deputies responded to a shooting in the Coal / Dartmouth SE area. A man and a woman were found shot inside a vehicle. A young juvenile in the backseat of the vehicle was not injured. The male driver reported they had been shot at by unknown suspects in the area of Isleta / Bridge SW. The male victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The female victim was transported to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The case is being investigated as a homicide. The deceased victim has been identified as Lesley Bolagh (21).

On Monday, July 18th, at approximately 12:30 pm, deputies responded to a body discovered around 2nd St and Lagunitas SW. The deceased has not yet been identified. Due to the suspicious nature of the scene, this case is being investigated as a homicide.

On Wednesday, July 20th, at approximately 3:00 am, deputies responded to reports of a stabbing on Forest Rd 333 and the La Luz trailhead. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male. Next of kin notification has not yet been made. This case will also be investigated as a homicide.

This brings the total homicide count for the ABQ Metro area at 95 so far for 2022.
