Albuquerque Police have charged three individuals in the death of a man who was shot to death and who then crashed into a utility pole on May 2nd, 2022. https://www.abqraw.com/post/violent-weekend-ends-with-4th-homicide-within-24-hour-period
Through their investigation APD found Martin Trujillo wanted to kill 46-year-old Gary Escareno over a rental assistance scam. Trujillo reached out to an alleged gang member know as Freddy “Snoop” Granger to murder Escareno.

According to the criminal complaint, a witness told APD homicide defectives Trujillo paid Granger a total of $15,000.00 in cash, drugs, and a car for the murder.
Granger brought Dominguez into the parking lot and on May 2nd, 2022, Granger shot Escareno in the head. Trujillo paid Granger by giving him a vehicle, 100 fentanyl pills, one pound of meth, and cash. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearm agents took Granger and Dominguez into custody July 8 on separate outstanding felony warrants. ATF told APD a gun was recovered during the arrest.
Trujillo is charged with an open count of murder and conspiracy. Granger and Dominguez are charged with murder.
