Albuquerque –

Yesterday, Thursday, January 9th, the Bernalillo County Fire Rescue announced on Facebook that their Type 3 engine is on its way to California to support firefighting efforts after a call for assistance from the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Captain Stephen Owensby, Paramedic Aaron Reitz, and Eng. Javier Torres will join crews from San Juan County Fire & Rescue, Los Alamos County Fire Department, Albuquerque Fire Rescue, and Santa Fe Fire Departments.

Sending them all the best wishes for a safe and successful trip as they proudly represent Bernalillo County and New Mexico!
