Albuquerque –
Around 3:45PM on May 7th, 2025, the Albuquerque Police Department observed a White Grand Cherokee in the area of Central Ave. and Louisiana Blvd SE. APD officers were able to deploy a GPS device onto the vehicle. The vehicle fled from officers and took off into the war zone.
Officers were disengaged from pursuing the vehicle by a supervisor and the vehicle crashed at the intersection of Central Ave. and Louisiana Blvd SE. The crash caused a multi-vehicle crash with a few injuries.
Witnesses described a black male running from the scene. APD officers were able to observe the male running northbound on Alcazar St. NE. The male went into a property and tried to hide. A short time later, the male found and was arrested by APD officers.
Officers searched the male and they found various items and a large wad of cash. He seemed mad that his felony activities were coming to an end.
On another note, an international film crew from News Nation randomly stumbled upon this same scene. They are working on an ongoing story about crime in Albuquerque. It will more than likely go viral on the social medias.
East and westbound traffic at Central and Louisiana was backed up as police investigated the scene.
Once the guy who ran from police finally lands in MDC, we’ll update the story with his name.
