Albuquerque –
Today at around 1:30PM, the Albuquerque Police were called about a red Dodge truck that was driving erratically through the city and witnesses said an object was pointed out of the window resembling a firearm.
The truck passed the Wendy’s on Central and Lomas and there were reports of possible shots fired. The truck continued up Central Avenue and hit a curb causing damage to the back rear passenger tire.
WATCH VIDEO HERE:
The truck pulled into a strip mall at the 6300 block of Central Ave NW. Two males and a female exited the vehicle to start changing the tire. They did not practice safe tire changing procedures by finding a flat surface.
While the two males were changing the tire, APD was close by developing a plan to safely take the felony pit crew into custody. APD approached the vehicle and the female took off running. The two males immediately gave up. After a short foot chase the female was taken into custody.
We will update the story when more information becomes available.
