Albuquerque –
Minutes before 9:00 PM, a caller phoned 911 to report a shooting in the 520 block of Indiana St SE. The caller stated that their relative had been shot, and alleged that the shooter fled the scene in a vehicle. Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and personnel from Albuquerque Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
When officers arrived, they found a person who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. At the time of their arrival, the victim was reportedly unconscious and not breathing. Officers confirmed that the offender had fled. Albuquerque Fire Rescue attempted to provide medical aid, but the victim died at the scene.
APD continues to search for the offender who fled this shooting incident.
APD’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Specialists will be called to this location to investigate. Police are reportedly closing Indiana between Bell and Trumbull to investigate and gather evidence.
This is the 33rd homicide in the Albuquerque metro area for 2025.
