Deadly Stabbing at Encore Apartments Marks City’s Second Homicide Investigation in 13 Hours

Detectives from the Albuquerque Police Department responded to investigate a deadly stabbing this afternoon at 801 Eubank Blvd. NE.

Officers in the Foothills Area Command responded to reports of a stabbing around 12:15 PM at the ABQ Encore Apartments. One person died at the scene.

Police have not confirmed whether a suspect was taken into custody. However, witnesses reported seeing an individual detained, and our reporter at the scene observed Albuquerque Police Department officers detaining one person.

This is the second homicide investigation in approximately 13 hours.
