Homicide detectives with the Albuquerque Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Sunday night on the city’s West Side.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting shortly before midnight on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at an apartment complex located at 6901 Glenrio Rd NW. They found an adult man in his 30s who sustained a gunshot wound.
Officers rendered first aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
There was a homicide at this same apartment complex in October 2024.
