Man Found Shot Dead Near NW Apartment Complex; Marks ABQ’s 110th Homicide of 2024

Albuquerque –

At around 5:00 AM today, neighbors called 911 after discovering a man’s body near the entrance of the Volcanes Commons apartment complex. This is located at 6901 Glenrio Rd. N.W., near 72nd Street. When officers arrived, they confirmed the man had been shot and was beyond medical help, he died at the scene.

Homicide detectives are on their way to begin the investigation, and crime scene specialists are gathering evidence.

This is the 110th homicide investigation for Albuquerque for 2024. Since October 13, there have been seven homicide investigations.
