Albuquerque –
On Wednesday, October 16, at around 3:23 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department SW area command were sent to the area of 63rd and Trujillo. Officers were dispatched for a shooting investigation.
According to a caller, they told police that they heard a person screaming and shots were fired. Then the caller reportedly heard at least two gun shots. According to dispatchers, they told responding officers that there were multiple rounds recorded on ShotSpotter in this vicinity.
A witness on scene told us they heard 5 shots fired and a car drive off. Albuquerque Fire Rescue went to the scene and found a person who thought they were shot, but it was just an injury from stubbing their toe.
We observed APD officers and a crime scene specialist documenting evidence in the street and canvassing the area for witnesses.
Just another day in Albuquerque. This city is under siege with fentanyl use out in the open and the cops just drive by powerless. The Mayor is only good for photo shops, while this city is on fire. Mayor Keller is a disgrace and he needs to go. Where are the representatives for this side of town?
Good luck crime keeps cost of living down seems like people want this and enjoy it why else do we keep same dumb people in office
That is hilarious! Although stubbing your toe is no laughing matter.
Haha, I thought the same thing. Must have stubbed their toe bad enough to have resembled a gunshot wound?
