Albuquerque – During a press conference about a warrant round up today APD played a disturbing video for the assembled media. The videos purpose was to show how numerous cretins of society have given up all respect for humanity and law and order. The event happened last night while patrol officers were simply investigating a shots fired call. Apparently the offenders came back while officers were interviewing a man in the area and shot at them.

APD goes on to tell us that last night at approximately 2300 hours Officer Garris and Relaford were investigating a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Utah St NE and Chico Rd NE, speaking with several individuals in the immediate area. While investigating this incident a black Dodge Citadel parked at the intersection roughly 50 yards away from Officer Relaford, who was conducting an interview. After approximately 20 seconds the vehicle rapidly accelerates towards Officer Relaford and the driver begins firing a handgun out the window at Officer Relaford. The vehicle crosses into the oncoming lane of the residential street as it continues firing while Officer Relaford attempts to take cover behind a wall. Officer Relaford secures the person being interviewed as Officer Garris calls out pertinent information over the radio. Due to their calm demeanor and clear communications, the vehicle is located a few moments later traveling on Central and pulling into a parking lot. The vehicle was observed until additional officers arrive in the area, causing it to leave the parking lot. A felony stop is initiated, and the vehicle eventually comes to a stop after slowly continuing to travel down the residential roadway of Texas St NE. The driver, Kevin Andrew Morales-Molina (10/15/1999) is taken into custody without incident. While clearing the vehicle officers observed a handgun inside of the vehicle. Molina admits to shooting the handgun during an interview, but denies attempting to target officers. OBRD appears to contradict this statement. Detective Fulton of GVSU arrived and assisted on the investigation and is currently authoring a search warrant for the vehicle to recover the gun and other evidence. Molina was arrested on the charges of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Shooting at or From a Motor Vehicle, and negligent use of a firearm.
