Albuquerque –

The Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire Rescue were sent to a crash on Louisiana and Americas Pkwy/Arvada Ave NE at 5:25PM.

Information released from APD stated “Officers in the Northeast Area Command responded to the crash around 5:30 p.m. Witness called 911 to report the driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured and not responsive. First-responders determined the driver, an adult male, was deceased.”

According to APD, “the driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

APD’s Motor Unit is currently investigating this fatal vehicle and a motorcycle collision. Southbound Louisiana is closed between Americas Pkwy/Arvada Ave NE and Uptown Blvd.

If we learn more, we will post an update.

This is the second fatal crash in approximately twenty-four hours. We did post an update on the crash and subsequent crash investigation that occurred yesterday.
