Fatal Crash on Albuquerque’s Westside

Albuquerque –

Just before 5:50 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were sent to the area of Unser Blvd NW and Paseo Del Norte Blvd NW for a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.

According to the caller, a vehicle hit a pedestrian; the pedestrian was down and not responding.

APD officers and emergency crews from AFR responded and found a pedestrian, who appeared to be a male, who was beyond help. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

APD’s Motor Unit is being called out. Paseo will be closed between Unser and Kimmick while officers process the scene. Closures are subject to change.

UPDATE:

A driver in the area let us know that westbound Paseo at Golf Course might be closed for through traffic. Drivers should expect delays.
