Albuquerque –
Homicide detectives from the Albuquerque Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting at the Main Event entertainment center in Northeast Albuquerque.
Around 1:30 AM, APD officers responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Main Event, located at 4040 Pan American Freeway NE.
When officers arrived at the listed location, an adult male was located with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
A suspect fled the scene after the shooting.
APD homicide detectives are starting an investigation.

Weekend Violence Surge: Three Homicide Investigations in 24 Hours
This marks the third homicide investigation in Bernalillo County within a 24-hour period.
Early Saturday morning, just before 4 AM, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a homicide near 4th St and Tijeras Ave NW, where an adult male was found dead at the scene.
Later on Saturday evening, around 6:55 PM, deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 1600 block of Airway Road SW following reports of a shooting. The victim in that case was transported to a local hospital but reportedly did not survive their injuries, prompting a separate homicide investigation by BCSO.
