Albuquerque International War Zone District – APD tells us their investigators determined that a driver of a vehicle was traveling westbound on Central Ave NE at Rhode Island NE shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday when a pedestrian crossed the road in front of them. The vehicle struck the pedestrian, an adult male, who died at the scene. The vehicle fled the area continuing westbound on Central never to be seen again.
There is no known offender information at this time.
