Homicide Happens in NW ABQ Near Big 5 Sporting Goods

Albuquerque –

Just before 5PM, the Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched to the area of 3140 Coors Blvd for a reported shooting.

When officers and emergency personnel arrived, they reportedly found an individual who sustained a life threatening injury. AFR came to the scene and determined the person was dead from their wounds.

At the time of this posting, APD is searching the area for the shooting suspect. Witnesses told us they heard 2-3 shots in the area.

Homicide and crime scene investigators will be arriving to the scene to investigate the 89th homicide of 2024 in the Albuquerque metro area.
