Albuquerque –
This morning, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle that crashed into the wall of a residence in the 900 block of 23rd St. N.W, which is in a neighborhood near Rio Grande Blvd and I-40 in Northwest.
The 911 caller said the male driver of the vehicle appeared to be deceased. First responders arrived and determined the driver, an adult male, was dead at the scene.
Around 5:40 AM, APD Homicide Detectives were called to start an investigation after evidence indicated the driver was killed before the crash.
While at this location, we observed APD detectives and Crime Scene Specialists working two scenes. One scene was the parking lot between the Burger King and Starbucks, located at 1000 Rio Grande Blvd NW; the other was where the victim and the vehicle were found.
