Hustler in ’86 Monte Carlo Runs Away Scared from APD

Albuquerque –

On May 22nd, 2024 at around 7:40PM, Alfredo Munoz of Albuquerque was enjoying the hustler life while cruising down Coors Blvd. in a 1985 Monte Carlo. An APD officer observed the car with a temporary tag license plate. According to the criminal complaint, the temp tag was not registered to the Monte Carlo and a traffic stop was attempted.

Munoz made evasive maneuvers and fled the attempted traffic stop so the APD officer terminated the pursuit. A short time later two other APD officers were able to locate Munoz and he ran from officers on foot this time. A foot chase happened and he was taken into custody without further incident.

According to the criminal complaint, Munoz is active on parole probation and said he was scared of officers because of previous encounters with police. He further stated he was afraid of getting into trouble again and thats why he fled from officers.

Munoz is charged with resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, driving with a suspended license, and the possession of drug paraphernalia.
