Stolen Truck Victim Helps APD Recover Their Vehicle Located at Motel 6

Albuquerque –

Around 11:30AM, the Albuquerque Police Department received a call from a stolen truck victim stating that they found their truck at 1701 University Blvd NE, which is a Motel 6. The victims blocked the truck in and confronted the thief. The thief scurried back into a hotel room and the victims then drove to a safe location as instructed by APD.

APD arrived on scene and started making public address announcements for the occupants of the room to exit. A male and female were taken into custody by police. The victims identified the male suspect as the driver and police charged him receiving and transferring of a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The truck was returned to the victims, and they were able to start it up again. A woman from the hotel room appeared outside as the victims inspected their recovered truck. A victim was seen inspecting items in the bed of the pickup. She discovered the cretin’s belongings in the bed and threw them toward the hotel room.

Collin Lattier, 31, of Albuquerque was booked on the charges.
