Albuquerque –
A majority of Albuquerque residents decided they do want a “king” in office when they made their decisions at the polls. They decided to keep Mayor Tim Keller as the City of Albuquerque’s Mayor in today’s Mayoral Runoff.
Despite numerous residents holding no kings rally’s leading up to the election it appears they did want a king after-all. The runoff election was between Tim Keller and Darren White after a crowded race narrowed it down to these two.
Darren White conceded to Mayor Keller just after the polls closed. It appeared White was down 14,000 votes with precincts still counting votes. It was mathematically impossible for White to gain ground against Keller.
Keller is the first Mayor to win three consecutive terms for the City of Albuquerque. There is no limit on the number of terms a Mayor of Albuquerque can serve. We are sure to see Keller for at least four more terms.
